Rudy Seanez(4-0) shut down the Pittsburgh Pirates hitters at Petco Park. The
San Diego Padres came away with a 5 to 0 victory.

San Diego had 3 runs cross the plate in the 7th inning when they had 3 base
hits. Eric Chavez kicked off the action when he singled. After an out was
recorded, Raul Ibanez stepped in and he laced a single. Juan Uribe was the
next batter, but he struck out. John Buck came up and he belted a three-run
homer (his 2nd of the season). San Diego ended up with 9 hits for the game
while Pittsburgh had 5.

Johan Santana(0-1) took the loss. He gave up 2 runs and 5 hits in 6 and 2/3
innings.
