At Petco Park the San Diego Padres outscored the Houston Astros 4 to 1.

San Diego had 2 runs cross the plate in the 2nd inning. After an out was
recorded, Mark Teixeira was the sparkplug when he doubled. After another
out, Juan Uribe came up and he cleared the fences for a two-run home run (his
3rd of the season). The early run support proved sufficient for Kevin
Correia(4-2) and San Diego. That was all the run support Correia required.
Correia got relief help from Dustin Hermanson who was excellent in relief and
gained credit for his 15th save.

Kazuhisa Ishii(0-1) was tagged with the loss. He allowed 4 hits and 1 walk in
6 innings.
