The San Diego Padres edged the Houston Astros in 10 innings at Petco Park by
the score of 7 to 6.
 
The score was tied at 6 after nine.  San Diego was victorious in the 10th
inning.  Paul Konerko smashed a solo-shot out of the park (his 10th of the
season) making San Diego the victors to the delight of the home town
faithful.  San Diego managed 9 in their victory.  
 
Julio Mateo(3-1) went 2 innings allowing no runs for the win. The losing
pitcher was Billy Wagner(0-1) in relief.  It was another victory for San
Diego at Petco Park.  Now their winning streak stands at 6 games.
